(Reuters photo)TOKYO - Apple Inc's digital payment feature Apple Pay debuted Tuesday in Japan, with some users of East Japan Railway Co's Suica mobile payment service experiencing trouble due to the resulting surge in online traffic. Apple Pay allows users of the new iPhone 7 and larger iPhone 7 Plus smartphones to pay for transportation and everyday items by simply holding their handsets above card readers. Customers wishing to use the service in conjunction with JR East's Suica transit card must first transfer their Suica card information to their mobile devices. After Apply Pay was synchronised with JR East's Mobile Suica service, users began having trouble logging into the service at around 7.30am.
